💯 Comfort Zones Are Overrated.

Here’s how I know… because I challenged myself to step outside them this year and it’s grown me more than I could’ve imagined!!

Here are some of the things I’ve done this year to go (& grow) outside my comfort zone:

If you’re ready to shift from the way the world is doing things because you’ve found that it’s clearly not working… but you don’t know where to turn or how to make changes, then you’re in the right place.  I have felt that so deeply… and in Episode 4 I’m sharing what it’s like to pursue a Well Led Life while you leave the world’s questionable ways behind.  You could call this “ditching the system for The Spirit”…

This episode is dedicated to Pillar 2 - PLAN.  This is where we learn to create the structure & space to make major life transformation… to say no, to slow down, to be led, live intentionally and enjoy life.

What we’re really looking at is all of the things we’re doing... the tasks that make up our day to day life.  And not just what we are doing, but how are we doing them.

First things first... before I get into the concept of stretching your capacity, I want you to know that I'm not pushing you to a place of overwhelm or a "never enough" attitude.  This idea is being shared from a place of deep desire and overcoming limiting beliefs.  So, with that in mind... let's continue.

Superwoman
This is going to sound conceited - but it's not, I promise!  Oddly enough, earlier this week I was compared to Superwoman - twice.  The comments were shared by other ambitious women, at two different times, saying they just can't believe all that I do.  Before you roll your eyes and press delete on this email - because I know how that sounds, let me say that I do not liken myself to this at all!!  I'm just me showing up where I'm called, and doing my best at it all.  (At the end of this article I'll share one way I'm stretching my own capacity this week!)

​Yet It Put Me In A Reflective Place
​My first thoughts were - those two women are superwomen themselves!  {They just don't recognize it.}  They show up, serve others, love generously, wear all the hats, and they do it with a smile on their face!  YOU too are likely doing all of those very things! ;-)

When your focus is intentional living, your life looks different.  From the things you own to the schedule you keep - life is tailored towards your priorities and values.  One way to tangibly live with intention is by creating a home that is paired down, organized and reflective of who you are (& who you are becoming).

Recently I met with Professional Organizer, Kimberly of Kelter Lifestyle, and found this kindred spirit to be passionate about helping her clients to create real change in their homes.  And real change in your home translates to real change in your life.  I know this to be true, because "in a past life" I too had a career as an organizer and was blessed to watch this dynamic play out for over a decade.

As I listened to Kimberly, it was apparent that she really understood what clients need to create forward momentum via organization, design and space planning.  Whether she's holding space for a client's decision-making-process or holding them accountable for taking action, she is doing it with care, consideration and the bigger picture in mind.

It's truly exciting to see a tailored plan from a bird's eye view and then lead your client from start to finish.  This is true in coaching and organizing, and this is how we help you live with intention.  If you're feeling misaligned - at home or in life - let us help you get unstuck.

​Before I share what that thought was and how I'm outgrowing it, let me tell you just a bit about the power of thoughts and how you can transform yours.  (Side note - I wonder if you've had the same false belief as me - you'll have to let me know?!)

1. Some thoughts are subconscious - they run in the background, fueling your actions without you even realizing it.  You may feel or even act "some sort of way" and it's hard to put your finger on why.  Those things are felt on a deeper level before you understand their origins.
2. Other thoughts - conscious ones, well they are alive and well in the forefront of your mind.  These are the things you repeat to yourself (or others) as if on loop.  You may say them jokingly, snarky, sadly, happily or sincerely.  Perhaps you don't say them at all, but you're well aware of these thoughts you have.

Here are the things you need to know:

It's time for some change!  As I've received requests for some more hands-on Gathering Place topics - we're going to switch up the scheduling a bit.

• I don't have it all nailed down yet, but many of the workshops will be planned for either Saturday mornings (10 am) or afternoons (2 pm) to allow for hands-on time.
• I also don't plan to host them monthly as they have been for the past 2 years.  They'll be spread out a bit more this year to allow myself capacity for some other things I'm working towards.
• I do plan to host another Holistic Wellness 101 course for those who were unable to make the last one... in February I think.
• And then I plan to begin fresh new workshops in the Spring!!
